A community built
on mutual respect.
The AllGaming CA community is a space for Canadian adults to share their experiences with Rise of Merlin Quest, exchange strategic insights, and connect with others who share their appreciation for thoughtful interactive entertainment.
Community is not an afterthought at AllGaming CA — it is a deliberate part of what makes the platform worth returning to. Rise of Merlin Quest is a rich enough experience that different players will discover different things, follow different strategic paths, and form different interpretations of the narrative. Sharing those discoveries is one of the genuine pleasures of playing in a social context.
Our community hub is designed to facilitate that sharing without the noise and toxicity that plagues many online gaming communities. We enforce our guidelines consistently, treat every member as a capable adult, and invest in the moderation infrastructure required to keep the space clean and productive. We do not tolerate harassment, discrimination, or bad-faith behaviour. When incidents arise — as they occasionally do in any community of meaningful size — we address them promptly and transparently.
The features described on this page represent the current state of our community offering. We continue to develop new tools and spaces based on feedback from our members. If you have suggestions for how the community could be improved, we actively welcome them via our contact page.
Community features
Strategy Boards
Dedicated discussion threads for each chapter of Rise of Merlin Quest. Players share optimal resource allocations, discuss spell combinations, and debate the strategic merits of different decision paths. Spoiler tagging is required for chapter-specific discussions. The boards are organised by chapter progression to ensure that players who are early in the game are not inadvertently exposed to later narrative content.
Lore & Narrative
Rise of Merlin Quest contains a substantial amount of background lore distributed across item descriptions, environmental details, and optional narrative branches. Our Lore & Narrative section is where players compile, debate, and expand on this material. Community-maintained wikis, fan theories, and character analyses all find a home here. Contributions are welcomed from all members regardless of how far they have progressed in the main quest.
New Player Corner
A dedicated space for players in their first few chapters. Experienced players volunteer as guides and answer questions without condescension. The New Player Corner is a spoiler-free zone, strictly enforced, so newcomers can ask questions freely without fear of having the narrative revealed prematurely. It is also a useful resource for players returning after an extended break who want to re-orient themselves without replaying the tutorial.
Community Events
Periodically, AllGaming CA organises community-wide events: collaborative strategy challenges, community-voted narrative expansions, and themed discussion weeks. These events are announced in advance and participation is always optional. Events never create artificial urgency or require continuous engagement — they are designed to be enjoyable regardless of how much time you can dedicate. Past events are archived and accessible to members who join after the fact.
Provincial Threads
AllGaming CA is a national platform, but Canada is a large and diverse country. Provincial threads allow members to connect with other players in their region, discuss local context relevant to their gaming habits, and organise informal meet-ups. These threads are lightly moderated and conversational in tone. Members are not required to disclose their location to participate in any other part of the community — provincial threads are entirely opt-in.
Feedback Channel
A structured space where members can submit product feedback, report bugs, suggest features, and comment on recent platform changes. Our development team reads this channel regularly and uses it to inform our roadmap. Upvoted suggestions are acknowledged publicly. We do not promise to implement every suggestion, but we commit to reading every submission and explaining our reasoning when we decline to act on popular requests.
How we maintain quality
Online communities have a well-documented tendency to degrade over time without active stewardship. We are aware of this tendency and take deliberate steps to counter it. Our moderation team is human — we do not rely solely on automated systems, because nuance and context matter in community governance. Every moderator is a regular user of the platform who understands the community from the inside.
Our community guidelines are written in plain language and are publicly available. We do not enforce rules selectively or arbitrarily. When a moderation decision is made, the affected member receives a clear explanation. Persistent rule violations result in escalating consequences, up to and including permanent removal from the community. We exercise this last option rarely, but we exercise it when necessary.
We also invest in positive reinforcement. Members who contribute helpfully, mentor newcomers, or produce high-quality content are recognised through our community spotlight programme. This programme is editorially curated — it is not a popularity contest or an engagement-maximising mechanism. It exists to celebrate the kind of participation we want to encourage.
The full text of our community standards is available on the Guidelines page. We encourage all members to read it before participating, not because the rules are complex, but because understanding the shared expectations of a community is a form of respect for the other people in it.
Play. Discover. Share.
The community begins with the game. Start your quest, then bring your discoveries back to the hub.
