Community Standards

How we conduct
ourselves here.

These guidelines apply to all community spaces on AllGaming CA. They are written to be understood on a first reading and enforced with consistency. Last reviewed: March 2026.

The AllGaming CA community is a shared space, and shared spaces require shared standards. These guidelines exist not to restrict what can be discussed, but to ensure that every member — regardless of their background, level of experience, or perspective — can participate without encountering hostility, discrimination, or bad-faith conduct. We expect every member to read and understand these guidelines before engaging in community spaces.

These guidelines apply to all community features on the platform, including discussion boards, strategy threads, lore sections, event participation, and any direct messaging features. They apply equally to all members, including long-standing community contributors. Seniority or reputation does not grant a member permission to behave in ways that would be unacceptable from a newcomer.

AllGaming CA moderators apply these guidelines using judgment and context. We recognise that communication is complex and that intent matters. We also recognise that impact matters regardless of intent — a statement that causes harm does not become acceptable simply because the person who made it did not intend harm. Our moderation approach balances these considerations carefully and consistently.

01

Treat every member with basic respect

Disagreement is welcome. Debate is welcome. Criticism of gameplay decisions, narrative interpretations, or strategic choices is welcome. What is not welcome is personalising disagreement into contempt — attacking the person rather than engaging with their position. This applies to text, tone, and subtext alike. Sarcasm deployed to humiliate, passive aggression designed to wound, and condescension directed at newer players are all forms of disrespect that violate this guideline.

If you find yourself frustrated by another member's contribution, the appropriate response is either to engage substantively with what they said or to disengage entirely. There is no community benefit to expressing contempt, and we will remove posts that do so.

02

No discrimination or hate speech

Content that discriminates against or demeans individuals based on race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic is strictly prohibited. This includes direct statements, dog whistles, slurs, and jokes that rely on stereotypes to generate their effect. Canada is a diverse country and our community reflects that diversity. Every member deserves to participate without encountering content that targets who they are.

We apply this guideline broadly and without exception. There is no threshold of subtlety below which discriminatory content becomes acceptable. Members who repeatedly test this boundary will be removed from the community.

03

No harassment or unwanted contact

Harassment includes repeated unwanted contact, targeting a specific member across multiple threads, attempting to intimidate or silence someone, and coordinating with others to pile on a member. If someone asks you not to contact them or to stop engaging with their posts, respect that request immediately and completely. Our moderation team monitors for patterns of targeting behaviour, which is often more damaging than single incidents.

Any member who experiences harassment should use the in-platform report tool or contact us at hello@allgaminginca.com. We take all harassment reports seriously and act on them promptly.

04

Keep content on topic and in good faith

Community spaces are organised by topic for a reason. Posting off-topic content in specialised threads, derailing conversations, and creating noise that makes it harder for members to find the content they came for are all disrespectful uses of shared space. Please post in the appropriate section and keep your contributions relevant to the thread's purpose.

Good faith participation means engaging with the actual content of what others have written rather than misrepresenting their positions, taking statements out of context, or responding to the worst possible interpretation of what someone said. We expect members to argue with the strongest version of opposing views, not the weakest.

05

No spam, advertising, or self-promotion

The AllGaming CA community is not an advertising channel. Unsolicited promotion of external products, services, websites, or other gaming platforms is not permitted. This applies to direct advertising, subtle product placement, and referral link sharing. Members who run gaming-adjacent content — blogs, YouTube channels, social media accounts — are welcome to mention their work in the context of relevant conversations, but systematic self-promotion is not appropriate. If you are unsure whether something crosses this line, contact a moderator before posting.

06

Protect other members' privacy

Do not share personal information about other members without their explicit consent. This includes usernames used on other platforms, photographs, location data, real names, or any other identifying information. Even if information is technically available from a public source, republishing it in the context of a discussion about someone — particularly in a negative context — is a form of harassment and will be treated as such.

07

Enforcement and appeals

Violations of these guidelines result in one or more of the following actions: content removal, a warning issued to the member, a temporary suspension from community features, or permanent removal from the community. The severity of the response is determined by the nature of the violation, the member's history, and the degree of harm caused or risked.

Members who believe a moderation decision was made in error may appeal by emailing hello@allgaminginca.com with the subject line "Moderation Appeal." Appeals are reviewed by a senior team member who was not involved in the original decision. We aim to respond to all appeals within five business days.
